Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Madie has been playing trumpet for more than 10 years. They graduated from Alexander Mackenzie High School in 2021 from the ARTS Mackenzie program with a specialization in music, and is currently in their 5th year at Wilfrid Laurier University studying under the direction of Guy Few.
In addition to ensemble playing, Madie holds the title of National Gold Medalist from the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as the 1st place award from the American Guild of Music, and is an International Music Festival and Competition Gold Medalist.
Recent theatre credits include “Heathers” and “Man of La Mancha” (Community On Stage), “Hello, Dolly!”, “The Music Man”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar” (College Light Opera Company). Current and previous MD credits include “The Wizard of Oz – Youth” (ActOut! Children’s Drama Workshop), “Legally Blonde” (Laurier Musical Theatre), and “Matilda” (BurlOak Theatre Group).
